This was fun read. He pulled too much from Lord of the Rings, in my opinion. I am very invested in the characters and look forward to reading the rest of the series.

What a wonderful story! As with any book series, I am sad to say goodbye to the characters. However, The ending was what I expected and the writing was spot on. The third book is exciting, thrilling, and moving. The whole series is wonderful and I can't wait to pass this on to my tween.

Well, I finally finished it. I had been doing a lot of traveling with coworkers, so no as much time to read. This was one of the more enjoyable books to read, especially after the last one. As usuall, it has a big ending that leaves drooling for more. Alas, there are no more. Well, at least not until the next one is released. Until then, off to other books!

reviewed A Feast for Crows by George R. R. Martin (A Song of Ice and Fire, #4)

George R. R. Martin: A Feast for Crows (Paperback, 2006, Spectra)

Crows will fight over a dead man's flesh, and kill each other for his eyes.

I would almost give this one two stars had it not been for the last "chapter", a not from the author saving that all the good stuff was in the next book. He basically had too much for just one book and instead of telling half the story of all the characters, he decided to tell stories about half the characters. The other stories (the ones I care more about) are in [b:A Dance With Dragons|2782553|A Dance With Dragons (A Song of Ice and Fire, #5)|George R.R. Yet another amazing ending. I can't give this one 5 stars because the middle third of this book really dragged for me. I thought this book should have been named "People trying to get places that never will". It picked up during the last third and really climaxed in the end. Off to read the forth book!

George R. R. Martin: A Clash of Kings (EBook, 2003, Random House Publishing Group)

Wow, what a great ending. I've realized that the plot is really secondary to the characters in this book. I find my self cheering for Bran, Tyrion, and Arya. I really feel for Catelyn and Sansa. As any good book series I've fallen in love with, it's the character, not the plot, that makes it endearing. But damn, what a plot. So many times I'd be reading along and BAM! Big plot change! The surprises in these stories are so fun. I like being surprised in books. Well, on to the third book!

Easy, but long read. The flow of the story was exciting and I am 100% hooked. The problem is going to be when I finish the the last book. It's not the last book in the series because the author is still writing them. But I'm plowing through them like there's no tomorrow.

Review of "The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (Millennium, #3)" on 'Goodreads'

This book picks up right after the second book leaves off. The first part reads quickly, but slows down in the middle. The ending wasn't nearly as nail biting like the first two, but it was a good ending to the trilogy. I'd highly recommend these books.

Man, this book kicks into high gear about 1/3 the way and just keeps getting better. I had predicted some of the plot, but got surprised at a great twist. Be warned, once you get to about 80%, you have to finish it right away.
