What a great book! As a longtime InfoSec veteran I loved that additional background on my field that this book provided. Ms. Perlroth did a phenomenal job presenting the story and the historical context of the zero-day marketplace and how it evolved to technical and non-technical readers alike.

I’ve followed Perlroth’s writing fir a long time and have always found her to be insightful, smart, and most importantly factual and detail-oriented.

The title of this book foreshadows the bleak eventuality of a kinetic war resulting from a cyberattack. I’d certainly agree that this eventuality will be upon us sooner rather than later. Although the future is unknown and unpredictable, I found this book highly accurate and imminently entertaining. A recommend this book for everyone who is interested in InfoSec topics!

Review of 'This Is How They Tell Me the World Ends' on 'Goodreads'

This is a cool, fast flying top-level view of the world of cyber weapons which surprisingly has tendrils everywhere. While I’m familiar with the stories told, I hadn’t thought about them in the interconnected manner that they truly are which is a good exercise for tech folks to consider.
