This book is amazing and I feel like a bad geek for waiting 15 years to read this. The only other novel I have read by Stevenson is Snowcrash. This is a very different book and is awesome in different ways. I will start pushing more Neal Stevenson novels in my fiction list.

I am pretty sure it is what the author intended, but I didn't even realize who was alien or human for a good number of chapters. Once I was around a third in, I was hooked. I am looking forward to the next book to see where the characters end up next.
