It was alright

This is a tough book to review. I really enjoyed the first two, with the Violet and Xaden drama getting old pretty early on into Iron Flame. But this book it was unbearable. The characters did poke fun at it a bit which was nice, but it still continued and was a real drag on the story.

The story was well done and had some good twists I wasn’t expecting to see, and there were some truly heart wrenching moments.

Quinn’s death made me cry, which I wasn’t expecting. A lot of the character deaths in this series had been not a huge deal, but this was so well done it hit me hard.

Andarna leaving was super sad and I felt for her in that whole conflict, that part was really well done.

The ending with Xaden leaving and Violet married to him was good but also …
