I have been reading Connelly’s Bosch books for years and pick up new ones as they are released out of reflex. This book told a story well, and is another mechanically sound novel. I was acutely aware throughout the book that I am ready to be done with Bosch as a character. He is still likable enough and certainly relatable, but the guy has run his course. I almost felt guilty reading a book which is causing a fictional character to drag himself through one traumatic event after another.
