An Extremely Detailed Examination of the Players Behind the Rise of Neoliberalism

Oreskes and Conway have put together probably the most comprehensive history of the US neoliberal movement, interrogating both the individuals and organizations that pushed it from the fringe to dominant ideology. Along with incredible details that I haven't seen anywhere else (and with excellent utilization of Hagley Museum archives) this book provides devastating analysis of the many flaws in the arguments, conclusion, and framing of Neoliberalism's proponents. If you're at all interested in understanding the interplay between politics and economics and how to improve our society, this book is essential. Highly recommend
