Heinlein brought back Lazarus Long (his almost immortal) and covered parts of his life. It is one of Heinlein's best life, love, immortality and death.

Wow, what an interesting book. It's not the most exciting story, but comforting in a weird sort of way. See, a majority of the book is this very old man telling stories about his life. This is the comforting aspect, since all the stories are engaging. There no main plot until the 3rd act. The interesting aspect to the story is that it's placed in the distant future, where social and sexual norms are very different than today. The author uses this old man, Lazarus Long born around WWI, to contrast traditional values, even though he has an "evolved" sense of sexuality too.

If you are offended by anything beyond strict monogamy, this book is not for you. For me, I related a lot to Lazarus and found several sections quite erotic. So if you are in the mood for grandpa's stories about pioneering new planets mixed with Saturn alia …
