An Excellent Academic Paper Collection
4 stars
This is a great collection of papers and essays on the state and dimension of diversity and inclusion efforts in Japan. Given that so much of the literature is on Europe and North America this is a fresh look at issues and approaches, with an aging population standing out as a poorly examined aspect of fairness efforts. There's a good mix of quantitative and theoretical work here, and the chapter on reasonable accommodations by Nagase Osamu, which leads off with a quote by none other than Don Corleone, is excellent. I also particularly liked the chapter on Vietnamese entrepreneurs in Japan by Thi Huong Tang and Lailani Alcantara. Highly recommend
